Loaded Lacquer Skull Duo

Squee! I was so excited to get Loaded Lacquer's Skull Duo! The Duo consists of a "candy" mix with bright pastel glitters called Innocent Until Proven Guilty, and then a "pirate" mix with a richer, more royal, darker mix called Cave of Skulls, and both have tons of skulls, and came with an extra little bag of skulls if you need more for placement. I LOVE both of these polishes! I got plenty of glitter without trying very hard, and Loaded Lacquer's base is thick enough that the skulls lay pretty flat, but after a couple of coats of base coat they were fine.

I used 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer Innocent Until Proven Guilty over 2 coats of Salon Perfect Baby Blues, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

And here's 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer Cave of Skulls over 2 coats Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Swamp Thing, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I can't even tell you guys how much I love Cave of Skulls, I keep staring at my fingers on this one, and I left both of these mani's on for a few days.

SPONGEBOB!

I really need to catch up on my posts, Mini Me's birthday is just a few days before Christmas, and we have family to our house on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, so the past week has been craaaazy! I did a simple, quick Spongebob mani for my daughters 5th birthday, I think it came out really cute! I did have to use like 5 coats of Salon Perfect Yowza Yellow though….

I used 5 coats of Salon Perfect Yowza Yellow, and 2 coats of China Glaze Pelican Gray on my accent nail, a couple of dotting tools with Sephora by OPI It's Totally Karma, and a pink star nail sticker, topped with China Glaze Travel in Colour, and topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Happy Holidays From Camp Crystal Lake!

Today is Saturday the 14th, which means yesterday was Friday the 13th! I watched a bit of the first one on HBO while I finished this up, but was too tired to watch all of it. I scooped up a Pretty Serious Crystal Lake in their Cyber Saturday amazing 40% off sale, and this was the perfect time to use it, I had to thin it a bit, but it's really cold so that is to be expected, and as usual it applied perfectly, and I wanted to try out my China Glaze There's Snow One Like You as well, it is a little finicky, and a little tough to deal with, but I got the desired effect, so I can't complain too much…..

I used 1 coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Lake over 2 coats of Salon Perfect Bermuda Baby, and China Glaze There's Snow One Like You for the drips, 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat before the drips.

Loaded Lacquer Mintallica!!!

I was so excited when Heather from Loaded Lacquer contacted me to review her new polish Mintallica! Honestly, I would be happy to have any of her polishes, they are PACKED with glitter, no need to fish, you'll get plenty on your brush on your first try. I always think they are so pretty online, and then I get them, and they are always so much prettier in person, and Mintallica was no different! It is a glitter bomb filled with matte mint dots and hex, gunmetal hex and holographic gunmetal in multi sizes, I love it, I can't stop looking at my nails! Application was great, I didn't thin it or mess with it at all! Mintallica will be available tonight at 7pm. central time on Loaded Lacquer's Website, and look for more reviews from me of this brand, they have quickly sky rocketed to the top of my favorites!

I used 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer Mintallica over 2 coats of OPI My Private Jet, with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Shimmer Kisses Midnight Prince

I am totally obsessed with  Shimmer Kisses mini polishes, they are the perfect size, and the perfect price, and she is in Houston, like me, so I get them super fast, and I get to support another small business in my city! I scored this and a couple more in her awesome Black Friday sale! I thinned Midnight prince out, just a bit, and application was great, I put it over Mint Polish Pass the Scone, which is now my new favorite nude!

I used 1 coat of Shimmer Kisses Midnight Prince over 2 coats of Mint Polish Pass the Scone, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Fat Lacquers Soft Serve

Today I have a new Indie brand called Fat lacquers, this polish is called Soft Serve, and is from the Dollar Menu Collection, I love these polishes, I think the whole idea of this brand is wonderful, there are "nutrition" labels on the back, very clever! I used a few drops of thinner in Soft Serve, the formula was a little thick, but still very sheer, so I used white undies.

I used 1 coat of Fat Lacquers Soft Serve over 2 coats of Salon Perfect Sugar Cube, and for my ice cream accent I used Darling Diva Dreamy, and Mint Polish Pass the Scone, and Buttered Rum, and 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Hey everybody! Another quick post, I got so many great Black Friday deals, that I have lots of polishes I want to try! I got my first Mint Polish order, and I love them, creamy, great coverage! I thought that Bleeker St. Babe would pair up perfectly with one of my new Loaded Lacquers, which is one of my new favorite indies! I used Vintage Metals, and as usual, application was perfect!

I used 1 coat of Lynnderella Stay Goodbye over 2 coats of Sephora by OPI Don't Feed the Hand Models, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

A Very Merry Christmas Tree, and Snowflake Covered Presents

I have a few of the Christmas Under the Big Top Collection from Freak Show Polish on the blog today, if you ever read my blog you know that  Freak Show is one of my favorite brands, this was the only Christmas Collection that I bought in it's entirety this year, I did buy Rocky Horror and  Willy Wonka themed winter collections, But this was my favorite Christmas Collection I saw, as usual I thinned them out just a tiny bit, and application and dry time was great, I love all of them. Sorry for my crazy cuticles guys,  one of the reasons I started the blog was to help me stop messing with them, and not mess with the awful hang nails I get, but the cold weather is brutal on them. I got some Sweet Baby by Donna products, that are helping tremendously, but I am still having issues.

I used 1 coat of Freak Show Polish A Very Merry Christmas Tree over 2 coats of OPI Skull & Glossbones, and Nicole by OPI Lights, Kim-era Action! China Glaze Starboard, and a Salon Perfect Striper in Gold Sparkle for the tree, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top coat.

I used 1 coat of Freak Show Polish Snowflake Covered Christmas Presents over 2 coats of Julep Blakely, and China Glaze  Travel in Color, and To Yacht To Handle and Julep Evelyn for the snowflakes, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top coat.

Supernatural Lacquer Sugar Plum Fairy

The Christmas Mani's have begun! I'm really excited to bring you guys one of the Christmas Collection from Supernatural Lacquer, I won this one in a flash Giveaway, somebody else guessed her favorite band (Fuel), and won a polish, and I guessed her favorite song by Fuel (Bad Day), and won a polish too! It was super hard to pick, and then super hard to wait to use it while I finished my November challenge! I plan to try it over some other colors, but started here to match what I was wearing to chaperone a bunch of crazy 4 yr. olds in my daughters class at the Children's Museum. *:/ I thinned it out a bit, but as you guys should know by now, I thin all my Indies out a bit. Application was great, and I have to say it was hard to get a pic, that even came close to how pretty it is.

I used 1 coat of Supernatural Lacquer Sugar Plum Fairy over 2 coats of China Glaze Jungle Queen, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Walking Dead

It's the mid-season finale of Walking Dead tonight, so of course I had to do a mani! I saw Swatchbucklers do a Zombie Cupcake mani, and I've been dying to copycat it, and to use the Polish Addict Walking Dead I got in her awesome sale a couple of weeks ago, and then proceeded to go hog wild when she had her Black Friday sale, because I love Walking Dead! I'll be posting pics of all of my Black Friday Hauls on The Fun With Nails Facebook , and on my Instagram as my stuff comes in. Application was great I used a couple drops of thinner, but I always thin my Indie's out, and the glitter payoff was awesome!!!

I used 1 coat of Polish Addict Walking Dead over OPI Suzi Takes the Wheel, and used those + OPI And This Little Piggy, Sephora by OPI Seeing Pink Elephants, and Salon Perfect Stripers in Green Stem and Pretty in Pink, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Black Friday with Chirality and Instagram Giveaway!

So this is Day 29 of the Nail Art November challenge, and the last one I'm doing, there is a Day 31, but only 30 days in November, and I'm so sick, and just over it.  I totally had to touch this one up before I took pictures, because I spent a lot of my Black Friday cleaning up, but did hit up a couple of ahhh-mazing sales online, which you will see the fruits of soon, but anyway, I had major tip wear from doing dishes, and hitting the computer keys! I wanted black and a little chaotic……

I used 2 coats of Chirality Soska, and put a touch of glitter on there with Pretty Serious Party Time! Excellent! and Topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. If you have read any of my other blogs then you know these are 2 of my favorite brands, so I had no problems with application, I just barely thinned out Part Time! Excellent! after putting WAY too much glitter on my thumb, which I will not show you reader. *;P

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all

Okay I'm totally cheating and combining day 26 thankful, and the last week of the cdbnails143 on Instagram challenge because Thanksgiving week is crazy enough, but on top of that I did get my wisdom tooth pulled yesterday, he just gave me a local and "wiggled" it out, but I'm pretty sore, anyway last week we took Mini Me to see Freebirds it was really cute, and they had all kinds of different colored turkeys, so I used that for inspiration for my mani, it's a little messy,  I was on painkillers....

I used 2 coats of Salon Perfect Baby Blues and then 1coat of My Ten Friends 42 on everything but my pointer finger and ring finger on which I used Pretty Serious Mummy Mush for a base and Salon Perfect  Baby Blues, Oil Slick and Sugar Cube and Orange Flame Striper, China Glaze Pelican Gray, and Concrete Catwalk, and OPI Golden Rules for the turkey and the hatchling, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Still Betting on You Fandom

Alright, you guys be ready for a few short and sweet posts, and I may be MIA for a minute, but I promise I will keep up as best as I can, my wisdom teeth have been killing me for a few days now, and I've been really busy helping out at my little girls school this week, the hubs has a friend whose aunt is a dental assistant, and her office will do a payment plan, so I'm going to get them checked out on Monday, and possibly pulled, if not Monday then soon. We're doing Thanksgiving here, I've already warned everyone that I'm going to need a lot of help, and probably won't be able to eat.*:(  Then the first week of December lots of help at my daughters school again, so I'll post when I can, I'm sure I will be doing my nails while all loopy on painkillers for my mouth, but I don't know when I'll be able to post, or if the posts will be coherent, or the Vicodin fueled raging of a lunatic, or just be really short. AHHHH! Please bear with me you guys! So here's my Day 22 Catching Fire Mani, that of course has a big wrinkle in my thumb, and no matter what I did, I couldn't get a good picture of the cute little arrow sticker on my accent nail, but I did get a good shot of the pink shift in my new obsession Swanky Silk, and the holo in It's a Gas, Gas, Gas……

This is 1 coat of Fandom Still Betting on You over 2 coats of China Glaze Swanky Silk,  Ellagee's It's a Gas, Gas, Gas on my accent nail, with a little arrow sticker from Stick It Vinyl, and my usual 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry fast Top Coat.

Grizzly

I'm so excited to have a hot new indie brand, Loaded Lacquers on the blog today, I saw the owner of Loaded Lacquer is also named Heather, and is also right here in Texas, so, of course I had to check her polishes out, then I saw them! GORGEOUS! I ordered Friday, got them on Monday! So fast! And have been assured that Loaded Lacquers plans on always having a quick turn-around, and they offer free shipping on orders of $50 or more! All around the customer service is fabulous, cute packaging to bring a smile to your face, and then I saw the polish, it was so hard to pick which one I was going to wear first, they are all even prettier in person, but I settled on Grizzly, because it's GLITTER time in my monthly challenge, I wanted to pick one that was going to stand out and be different, and IT IS! Grizzly has black and dark green holographic dots, matte brown hex, caramel hex, metallic garnet micro glitter, holographic orange micro glitter and bronze hex.The formula was perfect,  I didn't mess with it all, and the glitter payoff is fabulous, I don't build my glitter polish, but if I did this would be the polish to do it with!

Here's a shot of my thumb to show the pink shift in the Swanky Silk a little better, and to show off the gold glitter in Grizzly a little better……

I used 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer Grizzly over 2 coats of China Glaze Swanky Silk, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Big Fish

Week 3 in the November Challenge hosted by cdbnails on Instagram is favorite movie. I have so many favorite movies, I am a movie junkie, so I had to narrow down to movies I can watch over and over again that I watch every time I see that they are on, and like UP! that I picked for the disney challenge, stir up emotion every time I watch it, and I picked Big Fish, I know a lot of people don't get it, but I do. I loved it the first time that I saw it, and so did my Dad, and since I lost him, I love it even more because it makes me think of him, It is a truly beautiful film, visually stunning. My nails are inspired by the field of daffodils, and I am super happy with how they turned out….

I used 3 coats of CrowsToes Toxic Buttercup as my base, and then 1 coat of Freak Show Polish The Pumpkin Juggler, except for my 2 accents, that I drew the flowers with a Salon Perfect Striper in Ray of Light, and China Glaze Sun Worshiper with a nail art brush, then topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
I thinned Toxic Buttercup just a bit, but didn't do anything to The Pumpkin Juggler, a thin yellow jelly with bright neon green squares, peach dots, and orange holographic glitter, it went on great, lots of glitter, and thin enough to still be able to see the pink shift in Toxic Buttercup.

Pocket Money Polishes Firework

Today on the blog I have Pocket Money Polishes USA, Firework, Firework has turquoise stars, electric blue shreds, and purple hexes, and I start singing Katy Perry every time I look at it! lol! But seriously, it makes me happy, I always think I like star glitters, and then they're all big and stick up everywhere, making me crazy, but these are not like that at all, they are small, and lay smooth, and so do the shreds, so application was pretty easy, I had to glitter place a little bit at first, but once I made it a little bit into the bottle I started to get more glitter. I fumble around with minis, but these are a little bigger than that, easy to grip, and the brush is a normal size, YaY! I like the Glitter Babies, and plan on getting some more!

I used 2 coats of Pocket Money Polishes Firework over 2 coats of China Glaze Pelican Gray, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

BSL Sognefjord Ice Flower

Challenge 6 Day 16 is a floral challenge, so I did an Ice Flower from Super Mario Brothers, for some reason, my blue striper exploded all over me in the middle of doing this, and I had a make it work moment, and took a picture of it real fast, before I really messed it up cleaning myself up. Sorry it's a hot mess……

I really wanted to incorporate my giveaway win from Big Spoon Lacquers, because I have been dying to use it. It's brilliant! This picture totally doesn't do it justice, the depth of the blue glitter is amazing, and application was perfect!

I used 1 coat of Big Spoon Lacquers Sognefjord over 2 coats of Salon Perfect Bermuda Baby, and on my accent nail I used Salon Perfect Striper in Pin Stripe, Salon Perfect Sugarcube, Robin's Egg, Oil Slick, and Crystal Clear for my Base Coat, and Top Coat, 1 coat each.

H-Town Love

Today I'm taking a tiny nail challenge break, and showin' some H-Town and Mota love! Lol! I have Mota Amor by Nailhoney, a relatively new maker from right here in Houston, it makes me really happy to be able to support another Houstonian! Mota Amor is a pea green polish with a gold shimmer and scattered green glitter. GORGEOUS! The formula is great, and application was perfect! It's pretty smooth, I mostly used 2 coats of topcoat to smooth out my accent nail.

I used 2 coats of Nailhoney Mota Amor, and used it for the heart over 2 coats of Hard Candy Crush on Gold on my accent nail, and topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Beemo!

The 5th November Nail Art Challenge Day 13 is black and white, so I did black and white, but decided to show some Adventure Time love too, with a little BMO Noire, from the black and white episode with the same title. I used Chirality Dahmer Crunch, which I thinned just a bit, and it applied great!

I used 1 coat of Chirality Dahmer Crunch over 2 coats of China Glaze White on White, for BMO I used a base of China Glaze Immortal, Chirality ED-209 over WoW for his screen, and Salon Perfect Black Ink Striper, and OPI Black Onyx and a dotting tool, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

ALICE!

It's the 2nd week of The November challenge by cdbnails on Instagram, and the theme is favorite children's book. I picked Alice in Wonderland, I'm reading it to Mini Me right now, and both of us are really enjoying it. Okay let's get to it, because it's going to take me another hour to list all the polishes I used in it,  lol….

I used China Glaze White on White, Kinetic Candy, Something Sweet, and Hey Sailor, Salon Perfect Stripers in Black Ink and Laser Beam, So Easy Stripe Rite in Black, Nicole by OPI Lights, Kim-era, Action, OPI Black Onyx, Hard Candy Crush on Hot Pink, Darling Diva Dreamy, and Hare Polish What I Wore to the Revolution, and Julep Gayle.

Happy Veteran's Day!

In November 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day with the following words: "To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations, Whereas it is fitting that the recurring anniversary of this date should be commemorated with thanksgiving and prayer and exercises designed to perpetuate peace through good will and mutual understanding between nations. Thank you to all of those that have served! Happy Veteran's Day! My Dad was a Veteran, so of course I wanted to do a quick mani in honor of him, and all the other men and women who have served! I used Pahlish's July Duo, I LOVE PAHLISH! It is one of my favorite brands, I spend way too much money on it, but I love all of her colors, they are all gorgeous, I haven't seen one that I didn't just love, and they are ALWAYS prettier in person! The formula is perfect on these two as usual…..

I used 1 coat of Pahlish Fireworks & Sparklers over 1 coat of Pahlish Escape for the Summer, over 2 coats of China Glaze White on White, and topped it all off with 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, I only need 1 coat with Pahlish, because they are so smooth, even the glitter toppers.

Beetle

The 4th November Nail Art Challenge Day 10 is nature, I was probably the most excited about this challenge, it gave me an excuse to put a bug on my nails! I find bugs inspiring, I mean my business is heather's bug bows, so I drew a beetle on my ring fingers, and I used an autumn leaf tutorial by Creativenailart on YouTube for my pointer fingers, and yes that is gold crackle too, don't judge me, I still love crackle polish, it has it's place, and I totally think it belongs in this mani……

I used Hard Candy Beetle, Julep Candace and Paris, OPI Gold Shatter and Black Onyx, Pretty Serious Mummy Mush, Salon Perfect Black Nail Art Liner, 1 coat of Digital Nails Ain't Nobody Got Time For That, and 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

UP! Freak Show Polish Balloon Animals

CDBNails on Instagram  is having a cute weekly contest/challenge this month, I'm starting to feel a little better, and REALLY want to be practicing some nail art, so I decided to give it a try. The 1st of 4 challenges is your favorite Disney/Pixar movie, I picked UP! It is definitely one of my favorites,  I can't make it through the first 10 minutes without crying, so much that it makes my 4 yr. old uncomfortable, and she asks if I'm going to cry this time before we watch it. I thought that I could do some simple nail art, and use one of my new Freak Show Polishes I got yesterday! I used Balloon Animals, which I love, but must warn is very thin, which I like, I like my jellies to be thin enough that you can really see the base color under them, and the layers of glitter if you use multiple coats. I did have to use 3 coats, and some placing to get this much glitter on my nails, but I do know from using this brand in the past that the next time I use it, it will be easier to deal with, once you get through a little of the bottle, application goes much better. It is super jelly and squishy……

I used 3 coats of Freak Show Polish Balloon Animals over 3 coats of China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes, and for my little house I used Salon Perfect Traffic Cone and a black striper, China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, Mahogany Magic, and Shower Together, Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Reflect, Pahlish A Custom Job, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Maroon!

The 3rd nailartnov challenge Day 7 is Maroon, I've been a bit under the weather, so I decided to do a quick mani, here it is….

I used 1 coat of Pretty Serious Elm Street over 2 coats of China Glaze Branding Iron, and 1 coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I did put a couple of drops of thinner into Elm Street, (I like my polishes on the thinner side) but after that application was great!

I had to throw a quick mani in for me during the novnailart challenge, I have been dying to use my Pretty Serious Viscous Vampire, and wanted to give the ice cream nail art a try since I came across the Ice Cream YouTube Tutorial by ProfessionalDQ, I really like her tutorials, and I really like ice cream, so here you go...

Next time I'll probably use a cream polish for the ice cream, so it will show up better, but they're still cute!
I used 1 coat of Pretty Serious Viscous Vampire over 2 coats of OPI Affair in Red Square, and for the ice cream I used Different Dimension Boop-A-Dupe, China Glaze Sexy Silhouette, OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons, Ruby White Tips Kim, and China Glaze Foie Gras, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
Check Out: Pretty Serious on Facebook or Pretty Serious' Website, I want to make sure that I mention that while Pretty Serious is an Australian company, they DO have an American Distributor, so you can order from their website, if you're in America.

Movember

So I decided to do the totally doable I have a life challenge, for nail art November, created by Californails on Instagram, I need to practice some my nail art skills badly, I tried to draw a mustache for today's challenge, and it was TERRIBLE! So I cheated, and used some embellishments. Day 1 is a Movember challenge, really quickly just in case you don't know. Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer.

I used 2 coats of Salon Perfect Robin's Egg (which BTW is the exact same color in the bottle as China Glaze For Audrey) 1 coat of Hard Candy Black Tie Optional, Julep Gayle for the cupcake holder, and China Glaze White on White for the icing, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
I got the Mustache Cupcake idea from a ProfessionalDQ Tutorial on YouTube

Caramel Apple

Another quickie, I have too many Halloween mani's! This is a copy cat of a cute caramel apple manicure from @bruisedupdollie on Instagram, I loved it, it's way better than mine, an awesome inspiration, but I, of course had to do a granny smith apple, because of my green obsession. I used Ruby White Tips This is My Swamp, which I love, but I did have to thin out a little, which is not normal with this brand, I won it in a giveaway awhile back, and I use it ALL the time.

I used 3 coats of Ruby white Tips This is My Swamp, and China Glaze Golden Spurs for the drips, and 2 coats of Digital Nails Ain't Nobody Got Time For That Top Coat

and seriously guys you should be following me on Instagram and bruisedupdollie on Instagram, she does some really cool stuff! Once I'm done with the Trick 'r' Treaters I'll take pics of my final Halloween mani, my monster nails to go with my costume, and get that blog post up ASAP! Happy Halloween, I hope everyone had a great night!!!

Julep Blakely Mummy

Quick post today, because I tried to fit as many Halloween mani's in this month as I could, It took me forever to get a good picture of Blakely, and had to use one that was a little blurry so you could see the color shift, and because quite frankly I am a little disappointed that they messed up my first Maven box, and sent me the wrong one, and I'm still waiting for the right one, and the wrong one has been sitting around here for a week waiting for them to email me a return shipping label, with that being said, I LOVE Blakely! So as long as they don't keep messing up my orders, and have good colors I won't cancel my subscription. Blakely is a dark grey, purple, blue shifter, sometimes I see a little magenta, and a little green too. Beautiful, and it applied and stayed on well.

This is 2 coats of Julep Blakely with Mummy stickers from Stick It Vinyl, and 2 coats of Digital Nails Ain't Nobody Got Time For That Top Coat

My Ten Friends Alien Blood

I was super excited to get my special edition My Ten Friends polishes, and my daughter had a living literature parade on Friday, and her class book was Aliens Love Underpants, so it was a perfect excuse to use Alien Blood, and the reason I got rid of the stilettos, I had to help get twenty, 4 and 5 year olds ready, and would have felt terrible if I had scratched anyone! They were wonderful!
Alien Blood is a teal jelly with tiny holo glitter,  Chartreuse squares, and turquoise holo glitter, GORGEOUS! Turquoise/teal polish is another weakness of mine.

I used 1 coat of My Ten Friends Alien Blood over 2 coats of Illamasqua Viridian, China Glaze Def Defying for the alien accent nail, and a splat sticker from Stick It Vinyl, and my normal 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

My Ten Friends FRANKENSTEIN!!!

SQUEEEE!!!! I was SO excited to get my exclusive "Banned Books for the Blind" Frankenstein Polish from My Ten Friends, that I had to put it right on! Over the Summer My Ten Friends let everybody know a friend of hers was doing a Kickstarter program to raise money for audiobooks for people that are visually impaired, a great cause right!?! And I got 2 exclusive polishes Frankenstein, and a War of the Worlds that will be here just in time for Christmas! Frankenstein is a gorgeous chartreuse polish (one of my faves!) with green, gold, black, and I think a few turquoise glitters in it.

I used 3 coats of OPI Simply Smashing, then 1 coat of My Ten Friends Frankenstein, and China Glaze Starboard for the base for my Frankenstein accent nail, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I got the head stitches from StickItVinyl

Ophelia's Love

Today I have Polished by KPT Ophelia's Love, I LOVE this polish! It's a purplish/taupe to dark purple thermal with magenta glass fleck glitters, I can't stop staring at my fingers!
Here it is cold.....

And warm......

And what it looks like after a few minutes of wear.....

This is 2 coats of Polished by KPT Ophelia's Love with 2 coats of Digital Nails Ain't Nobody Got Time For That Top Coat
Yes, I tried out a different top coat, I didn't have to worry about my glitter eating my top coat, so I decided to try out Ain't Nobody Got Time For That, and boy does it dry fast! My thumb was dry by the time I got to my pinky! And it's super shiny, well worth cheating on my Seche with!

The Devil Wears Polish Fun House

The Devil Wears Polish put out an Aspiring Anarchist Collex, available until November 1st. It's a punk-rock Halloween collection, and I bought the whole set, because I'll wear it all year round. Today I have Fun House, it's named after a Stooges song, and is fabulous, but took forever for me to get a decent picture of,  this is outside in the sunlight. Fun House is a bright purple jelly with white and magenta skull glitters, white micro glitter, and magenta circle glitter. Purple polish is one of my other weaknesses, but I didn't realize it until my husband built a polish shelf for me, I started organizing my polishes by color, and was like my God where did all this purple come from!?! Now I've decided to just embrace it.  Fun House went on smoothly, and dried well, I had to fish a bit for the skulls, but it wasn't that difficult, and they sit surprisingly smooth for shaped glitter a couple coats of top coat was fine. I have to really love a polish to do shaped glitter, and I really love this polish, and shipping was super fast!

I used 1 coat of The Devil Wears Polish Fun House over 3 coats of China Glaze Creative Fantasy, and topped with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

AHHHH ZOMBIES!!!

Of course I'm super excited about Walking Dead starting back up tonight, so I did a Zombie mani. I didn't do the typical green, shocking I know since it's one of my favorite polish colors, but snail mail has kept me from getting a couple of polishes that I was hoping to use for this manicure, so I watched the long trailer AMC ran on Friday for inspiration, and then went digging through my polishes. I have been wanting to use Chirality Suspiria for awhile now, and when I really started looking at it, I thought it was what I was going for, pink brains, red and black blood, PERFECT!

I used 1 coat of Chirality Suspiria over 3 coats of Sephora by OPI Don't Feed the Hand Models, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, and made a little googly eyed zombie on my accent nails.
