A Few More From Loaded Lacquer

Okay, I know I have a polish addiction, but I think it's time to come to terms with my Loaded Lacquer addiction! I must have ALL the colors, and I almost do! LOL! It can be hard to get to meet really good people in the polish community, it can be cliquish, and there are definitely some mean girls, but Heather the owner L.L. is so very sweet, she always has a kind word, and truly appreciates each, and every one of her customers, which makes her a joy to buy from. Every time I get an order from her I am truly awestruck by the creativity and talent that she pours into these polishes, pictures never do them justice, they are always prettier in person. So here's 3 mani's with a few of her polishes that I have done over the past few weeks, and decided to post together because I got a little behind with a house full of sick, and Influenster/Ipsy posts. I got a huge order because we got our income tax return, so expect lots of Loaded Lacquer posts over the next few weeks. I thinned them just a tiny bit, because as you guys should know by now, I thin just about everything, and application was great....

I used a base of OPI Skull and Glossbones, my thumb and the drips are Salon Perfect Flamingo Flair, Salon Perfect Black Ink Striper for the stripes, and topped it off with 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer Bathtub Time Machine, and 2 coats Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

I alternated Polish Addict Nail Color Roses Are Red, and OPI Skull and Glossbones topped with Loaded Lacquer Fade to Pink, and 2 coats Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Roses are Red is a thermal, but it was c old here when I took the pictures, so I didn't get a great color shift shot, but it is still really pretty.

I used 2 coats of LynBDesigns Sacre' Blurple, and 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer Cave of Skulls, and 1 coat of Layla Ceramic Effect #52, I think it's called Butterfly Effect, but they just have numbers on the bottle, so I'm not positive, and topped it off with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
Layla is an Italian Company, so I ordered mine off of Amazon.

Drinky, Drink

Sometimes you just need a drink, or two, even if it's just on your nails, Drip Drop Nail Paint had an awesome sale, and since the owner is a nail blogger, I thought I would be pretty safe in buying a few polishes, all of the colors are very unique, and fun, and I had to use Bloody Mary pretty quick after I got it, the formula was great, as usual I thinned it just a little, because that's what I do....

I used 1 coat of Drip Drop Nail Paint Bloody Mary over 2 coats of Salon Perfect Bellini, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Ipsy Glam Bag February 2014

Here's my review for my Ipsy Glam Bag for February 2014….
Ugh this post has taken me way longer to put up than I wanted it to, but quite honestly I have been dreading it. Let me just say really quickly, that I really don't like to give bad reviews on my blog, I would rather not say anything at all, especially with small businesses, I contact them personally, and if they don't fix the problem, I just don't purchase from them again, and I do leave honest reviews on every company I purchase from's website's, but I HAVE had an Etsy seller contact me for saying a cosmetic glitter they sold me was bigger than I thought it would be, bigger than her other glitters, and that it was good for eyes, but not for lips, and she contacted me, and very rudely informed me that it wasn't for use on lips, which was not stated in the description, and I honestly I didn't feel like I gave her a bad review. I don't want to deal with that drama on here, so most of the time if I have had an issue with a seller, whether it's customer service, or drama/bullying, I just won't post a review, but I'll still post pics on Facebook, and Instagram. Honesty is very important to me,  I don't doctor my pictures at all, and I use the pictures that on my computer/phone look the closest to what it really looks like on me, and I make sure to tell you guys when I use undies, and how many coats I had to use. Enough of my little rant, onto my bad review. I was so excited about this months Glam Bag, I have been taking care of a sick baby for a week, and have been sick myself most of that time, so I thought trying my stuff out would make me feel better, pretty on the outside, and then I was soooo disappointed , I am really hoping that my reviews on Ipsy will help me start getting better stuff.

First off we have the Zoya Polish in Dot, Now, I have my hair color on Ipsy listed as other, and my make-up style as Hip/edgy, and I threw in Club goer, just because I like to put glitter on all the things!!! I have posted all the nail looks I have done since I joined on there, and I just don't know what about my Goth-A-Billy butt made them send me a baby pink nail polish! Baby pink is by far the smallest section, of my massive polish collection, and I already have WAY too many of them, and would reach for ANY of them before reaching for Dot, so I would've liked to have gotten the purple/mauve color Odette better, but even besides that, this is the worst Zoya polish I have ever used, if this was the first one I tried I would think it was an awful brand, and never buy it again, it was streaky, yet thick enough to take forever to dry, after the first coat I thinned it out, which didn't help with the streaks but at least made it dry faster. This is 3 coats with 1 coat of Black Cat Lacquer Lucky Star, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat…..

Now onto the Eyetini Cream Shadow in Violette, Ick, Cream Shadow, Really?!? It's just asking for a funky gunked up crease, I was glad I got the purple, it brought the green out in my eyes, I used it to make my glitter stick, but it burned a bit, and made my eyes water, I would've loved to try out the Jessie's girl eyeshadows. Now check out those awful lashes! J.Cat EL05 Cheap Ol' Ratchet lashes, as I have mentioned before I used to wear false lashes, I mean WEAR false lashes, like 4 or 5 times a week, and I would never buy these, the right one bent all crazy when I pulled them off the backing, and I couldn't fix it, and they absolutely can not be washed and re-used, which is a must if you wear fake lashes often, they look like little eye poodles now, and they eyelash glue was black, which I HATE, you have to put black eyeliner on before you apply them, and watch out if you don't put them on perfectly, you're gonna have black glue all over your face. *:/

I got Fuchsia Freesia in the Pop Color Gloss, I was hoping to get the Peony Petal color, a dusty mauve. It's pretty, and feels fine, but it smells awful, which makes it taste kinda weird as well. My hair is pink, so I have a billion Hot Pink/ Fuchsia/Magenta Lip colors already, and again would reach for ALL of them before this one because they smell and taste better.

Oh it burns, it burns! Skyn Iceland Fresh Start Mask with Ice Age Mud, I love masks, and I just wasn't impressed, and it did really burn through my T-Zone, and my chin is breaking out badly today, just a couple days later.

I am glad that I only spent $10 to try out a bunch of stuff to know not to buy it, but most of the stuff I've gotten in my first 2 months, I wouldn't have bought, but I would've been happy if they sent my the other options in those categories for a lot of the things I have been disappointed in, hopefully they listen to your feedback, and my bags will get better, if not, I don't know how much longer I'm going to do it.

I used: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
Almay Smart Shade Color Correcting Primer
Hard Candy CC Correction Cream in Light
Covergirl Clean Sensitive Skin Pressed Powder in Classic Ivory
NYX Nude Matte Shadow in Kiss the Day
Medusa's Make-Up Coral Reef
Eyetini in Violette

Mint Chocolate

Sorry it took me awhile to get this up, but I have had a sick 5yr. old all week, and haven't been feeling too hot myself, so I am a bit behind on my posts. February 19th was National Mint Chocolate Day, of course, I did a mani to celebrate it, and it was an excuse to use my new Messy Jessi Lacquer, Finch, which reminds me of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Application was perfect……

I used 3 coats of OPI Gargantuan Green Grape, and 1 coat of Messy Jessi Finch, OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons, and China Glaze Goin' My Way for the cone, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

J'adore Vox Box from Influenster Review

I am one of the cool kids now! LOL! I got a free J'adore Vox Box from Influenster….

The Red Rose Creme Caramel Tea was very smooth, I added a little sugar, honey, and milk, and it was delicious!

I really liked the Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask, my skin felt really clean and smooth after i used it, and it did shrink up the blemishes I had.

I decided to try out my Naked 3 palette while I was trying out the Kiss Shy Tapered End Lashes 60483/KFL01, I don't wear false lashes, anymore, but I used to, like everyday used to, and these are some of the best lashes I have ever used, the glue was great, it dried faster than it said, and didn't get all weird, and stick to my make-up instead of my eye, and I did my eyeliner after, which I like to do if I'm using a pencil, so it doesn't smear everywhere, I do think it would've looked better to do liquid liner under, and then the pencil over though. And they washed well, if you wear false lashes a lot, you like to get a few uses out of them if you can, and you can with these for sure, they look the same as when i pulled them out of the package!

I am absolutely in love with the John Frieda Frizz Ease 3Day Straight Flat Iron Spray, I couldn't believe   how straight my hair was just after blow-drying it, and it was so smooth and straight when I flat ironed it.

I used Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturizer
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
Strange, Liar, Darkside, and Blackheart from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Pallette
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Darkside
Sally Hansen Plumping Lip Primer
Bare Minerals All Over Face color in Ruby Radiance
Kiss Shy Tapered End Lashes 60483/KFL01
Make-up Forever Smoky Lash Mascara
NYX Faux Lashes Mascara
Urban Decay 24/7 Lip Liner in Paranoid
NYX Matte Lipstick in Whipped Caviar
Revlon Age Defying Make-Up in Nude Beige
Cover Girl Clean Sensitive Shin Pressed Powder in Classic Ivory

Happy Be-Lated Valentine's Day

Here's my actual Valentine's mani…

I used Sephora by OPI Don't Feed the Hand Models, OCC Strumpet, Coco Allure Cleopinktra, and Salon Perfect Hearts A Flutter, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, sorry for the issues with my skull stickers, I took pics late last night, so there was some wear and tear.

More Than a Glimmer in Your Eye

So I got some awesome deals at Marshall's the other day, but I have to say I was the most excited about the 2013 OPI Breast Cancer Awareness Duo! I have been super obsessed with getting More Than a Glimmer since the first time I saw it, so of course I had to put it right on. Glimmer made me think of eyes so I thought I might do these eyes this way, and when I was looking around at eyes online I saw this tutorial by Meliny on YouTube, and it solidified what I wanted to do. Application was great, and it dries to a gorgeous matte finish, and it did dry a little darker than what it looks like in the bottle, so I think it would match the other color in the duo, Pinking of You, than the base I used.

I used OPI More Than a Glimmer over China Glaze Something Sweet, and I topped my accent off with China Glaze Travel in Colour, I only used my Top Coat mixture on my pointer finger, and accent nail, you can't really see the difference in the pictures, I do like the matte finish, but it chipped pretty quickly, next time I think I might try to top it off, and seal the tips with a matte top coat. I just used acrylic paint for the eyes.

Walking Dead Premiere

Once again I have done a mani for the premiere of Walking Dead, and I probably will a lot! This past Halloween Messy Jessi did a whole Walking Dead collection, and I got Biter Blood because it is amazing! I love this polish!

I used 1 coat of Messy Jessi Biter Blood over Sephora by OPI Meet For Drinks, the cones are OCC Captain Howdy, and Swamp Thing, okay, and I am waiting for my new Seche to come, so I thought I would top the bottle I have off with the HK Girl I have, which worked for a couple mani's, but even after thinning it out, I still got some shrinkage this time, *:/  I used 2 coats of that mix.

Painted Purple 4WCD

Really quick post especially since because of my back it's hard for me to sit at the computer to finish my posts, and to post on a lot of the sites I post my mani's on, but I wanted to do a post for world cancer awareness day, I did purple for cancer awareness but added orange for leukemia awareness, because I lost my Dad a few years ago to complications from leukemia. Cancer is a horrible disease that has taken far too many, too soon, but huge strides have been made, and I hope we see a cure in my lifetime.

I used OPI Suzi and the 7 Dusseldorfs, and Jinx, Pretty Serious Generally Hazzardous, and Freak Show Polish Gypsy, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat on my thumb and middle fingers, 1 coat on my index.

Anti-Valentines with Salon Perfect

I I'm a little later getting this post up than I wanted to be, because I hurt my hip/back and have been laid up the whole weekend,  but the good news is that I have had the 2nd mani on for 3or4 days with no chipping, and very little tip wear! I am super happy with Salon Perfect's nail products, and was very excited when I saw the Valentine's collection at Walmart the other day, I picked up almost the whole set, cause there are lots of fun colors! I did a couple of Anti-Valentine's mani's with a few of the colors, I'm not really anti-Valentine's day, I love holiday's in general, any reason to celebrate, and any reason to go out to eat, and get presents! *;)
But I the first time I actually talked to my husband was at an Anti- Valentine's show that he put on, I bought some of his bands buttons from him, and was smitten. But back to the nails....

I used 2 coats of Salon Perfect Baby Blues, and 2 coats of Sugar Cube on my accent nail, and 1 coat of Loves Me Loves Me Not, and used the Black ink Striper for the skull's mouth. Topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

I love the 2nd one, I got the idea from Robin Moses to do a black widow, she IS a black widow y'all, she is death, and the night, lol, and the cute polka dot spider idea from JaeMarie2008 when I was looking around on Pinterest.

I used 2 coats of Salon Perfect Salsa Dance, and 1 coat of Touchy Feely, I used Salon Perfect Black Ink Striper for the spider legs, and acrylic paint for the polka dots. Topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
