Hare Polish Twin Peaks

I was so excited that Hare Polish's Winter Collection was a Twin Peaks Collection! I am totally obsessed with all things Lynch, and Twin Peaks is WAY up on the list.  So I bought a few, and have a couple on the blog today. First up is Wrapped in Plastic Laura Palmer's polish, and the name of my favorite Marilyn Manson song.

I used 1 coat of Hare Polish Wrapped in Plastic over 2 coats of China Glaze Kinetic Candy, 2 coats of China Glaze Travel in Colour and some blue Rose stickers on my accent nail, all topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Flesh World is the name of the creepy "hook-up" magazine in Twin Peaks, I LOVE this polish, it is so pretty!

I used 2 coats of China Glaze Something Sweet, and then taped off the reverse French , and then 2 coats of OPI My Vampire is Buff, and 1 coat of Hare Polish Flesh World, I used Salon Perfect Black Ink Striper for the Twin Peaks symbol, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

My First Ipsy Bag!!!

So I got my first Ipsy bag! And I didn't  love most of the stuff in it, I am super happy that I spent ten bucks to try stuff out instead of full price though, I like to try new stuff out, so I love that about the ipsy bag. Of course I get the first bag in months to not have a nail polish in it for my first bag! *;/ This will be a long post, I took some scary pictures for y'all, and I'll go from best to worst. I loved the Proactive Mark Fading Pads, there were 4 in the bag, I washed my face, rubbed the pad on my face, applied my regular moisturizer, and then used up the rest of the pads on my arms,  where I have awful dark marks from battling with acne pretty much my whole life. They cleared up the blemishes I had on my face in the 4 days ( I have Cystic Acne, it usually takes a week or 2 for a blemish to clear up) and the dark marks on my arms have significantly lightened up! Next was the Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair Hair Mask, which I liked, I am obsessed with deep conditioners, and hair masks, so I always like to try out new ones, it smells pretty good, and worked about the same as the other ones I use. Then there's the Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Pearl, this is a thin pencil, like an eyeliner, pretty difficult to use it like an eyeshadow, and because it is soft like eyeshadow, you pretty much use all the product that is on the end pretty fast, I saw in other reviews that some people had a difficult time getting more product,i it looks like you could twist the bottom, but you can't, so I sharpened mine, I figured it was gone , so if I couldn't get any more product out, I was going to throw it away anyway, but it worked, I can totally live without this, who wants to sharpen something every time they use it, I used it like an eyeliner, and on my browbone to see how it worked, I'll use it to highlight my browbone, and in the corners of my eyes, it was okay for an under the eye, eyeliner, it smudges pretty well. On to Nourish Organic Lightweight Face Lotion,  I guess Ipsy assumes if you have acne issues that you have oily skin, well, I have combination skin, and it's January I am having some major dryness in spots, so this just soaked right into those spots, and didn't spread much at all, it smells great though, so I'm going to give it another shot in the Summer when my skin is oilier, but I do not think it should've been in a winter bag, and they should have paired a better moisturizer with the Proactive pads, it is pretty common for acne products to dry your skin out! Anyway, lastly I have the Mica Beauty Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm. This is not a tinted lip balm, it is a jar of lipstick. Do not stick you finger in the jar like you would a lip balm it will stain it pink, you need to use a lip brush, it is so thick that it covered up the freckle on my lip, which a lot of actual lipsticks do not do, it was thick, and greasy feeling, but it dried my lips out as soon as I put it on, I did not like it, the only good thing was it is a pretty color, but I have plenty of similar colors that are easier to apply, and not yucky. Here are some pics of a very quick look I did because I wanted to try everything out that I got!

Here's a list of the other stuff I used....
Urban Decay 24/7 glide on lip pencil in Wicked, and eye pencil in 1999, dark horse eyeshadow on brows, and urban brow, big fatty mascara
NYX doll eye long lash mascara
Lorac 3d liquid Lustre in Diamond
Revlon be dazzling shimmer blush in Hint of Ruby
Almay Smart Shade primer
Hard Candy CC Cream in light
Cover Girl clean compact Classic ivory
Kat Von D Swansong from the little sinner palette
Make-up Geek eyeshadow pigment in Sensuous

I used 1 coat of Black Cat Lacquer Just Like Honey over 3 coats of OPI My Vampire is Buff, 3 coats of OPI Pussy Galore on my pinky, China Glaze Travel in Colour, over MViB on my middle finger, and as the base on my accent, China Glaze Heat Index for the cupcake holder, Salon Perfect Metallic Rose Striper for the stripes, and the x's, and the Pretty in Pink for the o's, Heart stickers are from StickItVinyl, and topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

I used Mint Polish Original Mint, Pass the Scone, and Buttered Rum for the ice cream cones, I topped the ice cream off with Sephora by OPI Come to Pappa-razzi!, and Pretty Serious Mummy Mush for my accent nail base, and topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Loaded Lacquer

Today's post has actually been about a week in the making, I wanted to show you guys a few polishes from Loaded Lacquer since it really is my favorite brand right now, the hubs has me on a no buy, for the rest of the month, and Loaded Lacquer will be my first order, probably at midnight February 1st LOL! First up I have The Dog Ate My Homework, and a little Newspaper action in my accent...

I used 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer The dog Ate my Homework over 3 coats of OPI My Vampire is Buff, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Next I have Mintallica, which of course reminds me of Metallica, so in honor of my favorite album, I did some lightning accents, I love these! This is part of what took me so long to do this post, I really didn't want to take these off!

I used a Tutorial by Creativenailart
I used 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer Mintallica over 2 coats of OPI Skull&Glossbones, and on my accent nail I used a base of Color Club Revvvolution, and sponged China Glaze Galactic Gray, Mint Polish Original Mint, Sephora by OPI Mash-Up, and a white Sally Hansen Striper, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Lastly, I have Rubbernecker, it has taken me way to long to use it, and it is gorgeous! The black base is thin enough that the undies you use really show through, which I really like....

I used 1 coat of Loaded Lacquer Rubbernecker over 2 coats of Urban Decay Blackheart, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

I really love all 3 of these polishes! Application was great, I thinned them a tiny bit, but if you ever read my blog you know that I thin everything out, and we actually had a little bit of cold weather a couple weeks ago, so all my polishes are thick, I had to thin out the Urban Decay Blackheart as well.

I purchased The Dog Ate My Homework, and Rubbernecker, Mintallica was provided to me for my honest review.

Polish Addict Pretty Zombie I Scream Cone!

I am so excited about the Winter season of all my scary series starting, that you guys are going to see lots of mani's inspired by them! I was inspired by Being Human premiering, and since Sally was a pretty zombie all last season, I went with that, and this polish is soooo cute I made a little zombie ice cream cone! The formula on Pretty Zombie was good, I had to fish a little bit to get the stars, but there are LOTS of glitters in it, so that wasn't a big deal!

and my other hand…..

I learned how to do the Ice Cream Cones from Professional DQ on YouTube
I used 1 coat of Polish Addict Nail Color Pretty Zombie over 2 coats of China Glaze Something Sweet,    I used those and Sephora by OPI Wardrobe Change and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Swamp Thing and Captain Howdy for the ice cream cones, and topped it all of with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Helix!

As any if you that follow me on a regular basis on here or any other social media platform know, I am a total sci-fi nerd, so I have been eagerly waiting for the Helix premiere on Scy-fy, I finally watched it today, because the hubs worked all weekend, and wasn't diss appointed! Of course I did my nails in all the excitement.    I picked blue, because all the stuff on Scy-Fy's website had a lot of blue, and I have been dying to use the Galaxy Invader I got in Pretty Serious' 40% off sale, it's a blue/purple duo chrome shifter, and the black drips, because some gross black ooze is a major part of the show, you can tell even in the commercials.

I used 2 coats of Pretty Serious Galaxy Invader, and used OPI Black Onyx for the drips, and my usual 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Polish Addict Island Girl

I was so excited to get Polish Addict Island Girl in Cherry Poppin Nails De-stash sale! So I decided to celebrate it warming up for a bit here in Houston, and use it! I know it doesn't get that cold here, but that's part of why I love Texas, I hate the cold! And I love Island Girl! The Bellini base made it  A LOT brighter, and I added some of the little flowers I love to do….

I used 1 coat of Polish Addict Nail Color Island Girl over 2 coats of Salon Perfect Bellini, I used that and China Glaze VIII for the flowers over Pretty Serious Mummy Mush, And Topped that off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Orly Intergalactic Space

Today I have one of the new Orly FX polishes, I usually am not a huge Orly fan, but always end up buying them when they are on sale, they were buy 1 get 1 free at Sally's, and the FX line is really cool and different, so I thought why not, the last one I bought before this was sparkling garbage, and I do love it, and BOGO is a great deal! The colors in the FX collection are like Indies, so I treated Intergalactic Space like an Indie, and was pleased, I thinned it out and used it over a base color, and it worked great, and was surprisingly smooth when it dried, and it wore well, most of the time Orly chips the next day on me, and I kept this on a few days, because I loved it!

I used a base of 2coats of Sephora by OPI Henna-Thing is Possible , then 2 coats of China Glaze Concrete Catwalk under 1coat of Orly Intergalactic Space, and topped all of it off with 2coars of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

My Ten Friends Holiday

I have half of the My Ten Friends Holiday Collection on the blog today. I got the whole set with my Christmas money from my Mother-in-law, because I was just in love with every color! I thinned all 3 of these before I used them, and all 3 applied amazing, and are even more gorgeous in person!

I used 1coat of My Ten Friends Crash and Burn over 2 coats of Zoya Trixie, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

This was my new Years Eve Mani, I used 1coat of My Ten Friends Stars Collide over 2 coats of Zoya Ziv, and topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Here's a blurry pic, so you can see the sparkly holo goodness in Stars Collide.

And last but not least I decided to change my nail shape over the weekend, and bring the claws back out! I did a Reverse French with OCC Captain Howdy, and Suspiria, and then My Ten Friends Faster Than Light, and topped all of that off with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Penny For A Thought

Today I have Shop Eighty4's Penny For a Thought, I got this polish for 5 bucks in my Black Friday frenzy, it is gorgeous, and I don't have anything like it, it is a rose/copper duo chrome with gold flakes in it, I paired it with Sephora by OPI A Color That Can't Be Tamed, another one of my $1.80 Big Lot buys, (the hubs is over all my "awesome" deals, lol!) because it is grayish greenish like a dollar bill, and I think they look awesome together in my funky french. ACTCBT is crazy thin, but didn't dry fast because of it, I don't think it would have ever dried if I had put as many coats on as I would've needed for it to be opaque, but it was under $2, and it was perfect for this. Penny was a little thick for me, I couldn't really see the flakies in the first coat, so I thinned it out, and application was great!

I used 2 coats of Sephora by OPI A Color That Can't Be Tamed, and 2 coats of Eighty4 Penny For A Thought, and then 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Happy New Year!!!

The holidays are super busy around here, and I'm trying to spend as much time as I can with Mini Me before she has to go back to school, so I apologize for the lack of posts, and that most of them are super short right now. Because I am not a huge black eyed pea fan, I decided to take a quick bite of the ones I made, and to put some on my accent nails for good measure! *;)
I also was super excited to get to use one of the Sephora by OPI glitters I got at Big Lots for $1.80! If you have a Big Lots by you, you should go see if they have any!

I used 2 coats of Mint Polish Pass the Scone for a base, and then 1 coat of Sephora by OPI Come to Pappa-razzi!, and Sephora by OPI Rumba Romance, and Salon Perfect's Black Ink Striper for the black eyed pea on my accent nail. Topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast top Coat.
