I have The Blog on the Blob today, wait a minute....... lol, just kidding, I have Carpe Noctem The Blob on the Blog today. Carpe Noctem is a relatively new brand, but is skyrocketing to the top of my favorites list, her polishes are awesome! So when she put out her Halloween/Samhain line I had to snag a couple. She carries 3 sizes of polish, which is awesome, she has a 12ml. medium size, that is my favorite size polish period, mostly because the brushes are plenty big enough, while the cap is long and thin, very easy for me to manipulate, and Carpe Noctem's lids are a little bit longer than other 12ml. bottles I have, which is even better! The Blob is a pinkish, purplish jelly with iridescent purple circles, and various pink and purple glitters. I did use a base color and put The Blob on top of it, because I can't stand V. N. L. and I try to make my polishes last as long as possible, but I wanted to make sure to say that it is a gorgeous jelly, very shiny and squishy, and applies very well, if you like jellies you will love it by itself in a couple of coats. It is thin enough to show through the blue shimmer that is in my base color, which I love, and makes me excited to try it over other colors. I had a little Blob marathon for inspiration while I did my nails, I took all of my inspiration from the 1988 version, which, by the way I LOVE! (I was 12 when it came out so....) I fell asleep during the old one, I love classic horror, but can somebody please tell me how Steve McQueen is supposed to be passing for a teenager!?! He's at least in his 30's in it. *:/
I think the polish looks just like the blob in the 80's version, the older blob looks like a can of cranberry sauce to me, and since it was the 50's it probably was.
I used one coat of Carpe Noctem The Blob over 2 coats of China Glaze Reggae to Riches, my accent nail is 2 coats of Reggae to Riches with China Glaze Bizarre Blurple drips, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

OOOoooooze
I wanted to OOOoooooze a little bit over a couple of indie brands, and keep with the Halloween theme. I decided to use 2 of my favorite polishes, and do some green slimy, drippy nails! Drippy nails are my favorite, so you guys will be seeing lots of them this month. I wanted to do something with Chirality Katydid, because it's gorgeous, and it is on sale right now on Chirality's BigCartel and Etsy stores, but you better hurry! As I've said before, pea/lime green polishes are one of my weaknesses, and Chirality is one of my very favorite indie polish makers, they are awesome people, some of the nicest you'll ever talk to. LynBDesigns is one of the first indie polish brands I purchased, because she was having a great sale, she is almost always having a great sale, and her polishes are amazing, she has something for everyone, I have mentioned before Quoth the Raven is a true 1 coat black, and it dries really fast, so for those of us that are a little spooky, you really could throw a coat on right before you walked out the door, and this also makes it a great base for black jelly glitter polishes, it almost dried too fast for my drips! I also wanted to let you guys know that I have purchased from both of these brands more than once, and they have always shipped to me very quickly, I don't think I'm the only one who cares about great quality polishes, at a great price, that you're going to get fast, and you get all those things with both of these companies!
This is 2 coats of Chirality Katydid with LynBDesigns Quoth the Raven drips, and instead of my usual I used 2 coats of OPI DS Top Coat, it's made to use over Holo Polishes, and doesn't dull them out as much as other top coats. I used a tutorial by Andrea's choice on YouTube to learn how to do the drippy nails.

Coven
Tonight! I can't wait for American Horror Story to start, although last season was totally too scary for me, I had to stop a couple in, and wait for the season to end, then I had a marathon while my daughter did a week of day camp this summer, I fast forwarded through A LOT, but the Name Game episode made it all worth it, and the last episode, I cried y'all. So today's mani devoted to AHS Coven is Coven by Daring Digits.......
This is 1 coat of Coven over 2 coats of China Glaze Cranberry Splash, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
Okay, so Coven is gorgeous, right? Yes, but it is supposed to be a thermal, my tips should be a darker, vampy blood red, I even ran them under cold water, and it still didn't work, I bought it on sale during the summer, and I think because it gets to be over a hundred degrees in Houston in the summertime, that it must've gotten too hot during shipping and messed it up. Total bummer, but it's still pretty, and perfect for tonight!
Check out: Daring Digits on Facebook, I'm not sure what is up with her stores right now, but her Facebook should keep everybody posted.
and I like to show the love every once in awhile, because I live for it- Seche Nails on Facebook, Seche Nails on Twitter, and Seche's Website

Royal
Today I have a Vampy Mani, being super excited about the Vampire Diaries/ Originals premieres, I did my nails! I wish it had photographed a little better, the purples match better in person. Since The Originals is set in NOLA I decided to go with those colors, to be a little different.......
I used 1 coat of Daring Digits Royal over 2 coats of Zoya Ziv with Urban Decay Vice Drips, and purple bat vinyl decals from Stick it Vinyl, and 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I needed to thin out Royal a bit, but after that it applied great, and the vinyl stickers apply like a dream! This is my first time using them, and I am very pleased!

Classic Films Cosmetics
Happy October lovelies! I wish everyday was Halloween, except for Christmas, because i love Christmas too, but I LOVE Halloween! So a lot of my posts this month will be, or contain something, a little spooky! Today I have a polish from Classic Films Cosmetics, and my first attempt at some sugar skull nail art........
I used 1 coat of Classic Films Cosmetics Lady in the Lake over 2 coats of China Glaze Sci-Fly By, for the sugar skull I got out my dotting tools, and nail art brush from Sally Beauty, and some nail art dots, i used 2 coats of China Glaze White on White, and 2 coats of Nicole by OPI Lights Kim-Era Action! Then with my 2nd biggest dotting tool, I made the eyes with China Glaze Kinetic Candy, the little crosses are Ellagee It's a Gas, Gas, Gas! using my nail art brush. The nose and mouth are LynBDesigns Quoth the Raven, using the smallest dotting tool, and the nail art brush. Then I stuck the dots on with top coat, and topped all my nails off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
